When Hermann and Agnes Seifried sat at their kitchen table in 1972 hand grafting grape vine cuttings onto rootstock they could not have imagined that in 2025, they would be celebrating their 50th vintage - and today be one of the largest family owned wineries in New Zealand.
The new branding reflects a sense of place, and of family. An evolution where the same beautifully crafted wines now portray the very hands-on approach.
From planting to pouring, every bottle of Seifried wine has been carefully nurtured meticulously through each step. From the grafting, planting, growing, harvesting, winemaking and bottling, all have been done by us with quality always top of mind.
Seifried is proudly a brand with history, strength, and most importantly, a face behind the name.
With the launch of a new look label in 2025 celebrating the 50th vintage, the Seifried name is still forefront on each label and the core values that have underpinned the success of this winemaking family remain unchanged.
